Justice in Ukraine investigates ten Russian soldiers suspected of having committed war crimes in Bucha. Hundreds of civilians died in that town near Kyiv after the Russian army left last month.

The chief prosecutor in Kyiv said that the ten soldiers of the 64th motorized infantry brigade of the Russian army are suspected of brutal acts against civilians and other violations of the law of war.

Victims with tied hands and mass graves were found in Butsha. Ukraine, like US President Joe Biden, has accused Russia of genocide.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has been investigating war crimes in Ukraine during the Russian invasion since early March and is collecting evidence. Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan recently visited Butsha, where forensic investigators are trying to determine what happened.
