US Parliamentary Committee Wants to Prosecute Trump Adviser Bannon

Trump Wants Medical Devices Made in Order in the US

Read Time:44 Second

US President Donald Trump will soon issue an executive order to address the lack of medical device production domestically.

The obligation follows in the wake of the outbreak of the new coronavirus in the United States, the White House said.

Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro told Fox News federal agencies will soon be required to purchase products made in the US.

According to him, the outbreak of the virus has also revealed the dependence on China in this regard.

Navarro did not provide details about the plans. He also did not speak about a period.

Navarro said additional steps were also needed, including deregulation, which made it easier for pharmaceutical companies to operate in the US.

Several officials are against the order. They argue that plans to curb imports from China could lead to China scaling back planned supplies of face masks, but also other protective equipment.
