The Venezuelan Foreign Minister Denied Coup in South American Country. The Venezuelan foreign minister denied Tuesday that there is a military coup going on in the South American country.

Jorge Arreaza accused opposition leader Guaidó of operating on behalf of the US.

Guaidó called on Tuesday for the army to choose its side and revolt against the reign of President Nicolás Maduro.

“There is no coup attempt by the army,” said Arreaza, who further stated that all actions against Maduro are being worked out in the White House.

After a few soldiers had chosen the side of demonstrators, there were clashes in Caracas between the government army and opponents of Maduro.
