The Lowest Number of Corona Deaths in New York in 24 Hours Since Early April

In the hard-hit US state of New York, fewer than 500 new corona deaths have been reported for the third day in a row.

The past 24 hours it has involved 474 deaths in the state with the eponymous metropolis and its approximately 19 million inhabitants. It is the lowest number since early April.

In recent weeks, up to 800 people, a day died of the coronavirus. The number of patients admitted fell below 16,000.

Governor Cuomo further said he had a “productive” conversation with President Trump at the White House in Washington.

The two recently expressed strong criticism about how to deal with the corona crisis. For example, they argued over who is responsible for tests to diagnose an infection.
