President Trump’s campaign team is withdrawing a lawsuit in Michigan state that his losing camp sought to prevent the results from being officially determined in a constituency early.
Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani reported this in a statement.
Giuliani says the result has already been achieved: stopping the early official determination of the results in Wayne County before it is inevitable that “all legal votes have been counted and illegal votes not.”
Team Trump lost a lawsuit in Michigan last week that should have prevented Joe Biden from being declared the winner in that state.
The judge also rejected the demand to end vote-counting in Michigan. Courts in Michigan, as well as other states, have also declared several inadmissible lawsuits filed by the Trump campaign.
Biden was declared the winner in Michigan at the beginning of this month, suitable for sixteen electors. He received 49.8 percent of the vote and Trump 48.6 percent, according to US media.
