Nadal is Struggling with Evans in Canada. Rafael Nadal has obtained a place in the third round of the Montreal Masters Tournament at the expense of Dan Evans.

 

The number 1 on the placement list, titleholder on the Canadian hardcourt, beat the Brit in between the showers with 7-6 (6) 6-4.

Evans had two set points in the tiebreak of the first set.

After trailing 6-4 in the tiebreak, Nadal won four points in a row.

In the second set, Nadal immediately won the first service game from Evans,

 after which the game stopped for a while due to rainfall.

After the break, Evans came back to 3-3, but he has then broken again.

Nadal did not let Evans return.

Wimbled finalists Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are not present in Canada.

As a result, Dominic Thiem, the strongest last week at the Kitzbühel gravel tournament, was placed second.
