Lenovo subsidiary Motorola has announced its latest top smartphone, the edge. The device is especially notable for its 5G connectivity, large screen with curved edges and powerful battery.
The Moto edge is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 processor, which features an integrated 5G modem. The phone also comes with 6 gigabytes of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 6.7-inch Endless Edge screen that curves 90 degrees at the sides.
The display offers an aspect ratio of 21: 9 and, according to the manufacturer, can display a billion colour tones. For the enthusiast: the screen also supports HDR10 and offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The curved edges of the display are also useful when you are not holding the phone in your hand. They light up to show battery charging status, incoming calls, alarms and notifications.
Another eye-catcher is the triple camera system. The primary camera with 64 MP sensor is among the highest resolution in its class.
Thanks to Quad Pixel technology, according to Motorola, the sensor delivers four times the light sensitivity of most other smartphone cameras, which should provide better shots in poor light conditions.
Besides, there is an 8 MP telephoto lens with optical zoom, a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and Macro Vision for extreme close-up shots.
