Microsoft Edge receives Support for Chrome Extensions. Microsoft Edge will receive support for Google Chrome extensions in the future.

That says one of the developers of the browser.

“We intend to support existing Chrome extensions in Edge,” Edge project leader Kyle Alden states, according to the reports.

Prior this week, Microsoft announced to modify the technology behind the browser to the same Google Chrome technology.

This reform should also make it possible to run existing Chrome extensions in Edge.

That confirms Alden now officially.

Edge is the browser that comes standard in Windows 10.

Despite the large market share of that operating system, however, the browser has few users.

A significant reason for this is that virtually no extensions are available for Edge.
